Meet the THRIVE Community
"I first learned about Ubuntu at a Braai Day fundraiser. With Ubuntu, you’re not just hoping your donations make a difference--you actually know they are. Their deep impact led me to increase my monthly donation, and this was met with overwhelming gratitude!"
"My husband and I had the chance to visit Ubuntu during a trip to South Africa. What we saw was a wonderful organization positively affecting young African lives. We were left with lasting memories, and we have been monthly supporters ever since."
"Ubuntu’s vision, integrity, and commitment to the people they support in my country is inspiring. It is a great honor to be able to contribute to such an organization."
Want to fundraise, but not sure how?
Skateboarding across South Africa. Completing an IronMan. Running a lemonade stand. Our supporters have done some pretty incredible things to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. If you have an idea for a fundraiser or need some inspiration, we can help you get started.
Want to join a community of supporters in your city? Ubuntu Social chapters are now active in New York City, Los Angeles, and London, bringing people together for our hallmark ‘Social’ event and other exciting activities throughout the year. Just reach out, and we'll connect you to staff and supporters near you.
Learn. advocate. support.
Ubuntu Clubs are led by passionate young ambassadors who engage with our work through advocacy, fundraising, and campaigns. If you're a student interested in mobilizing your peers to create positive change, you can start a club. Contact us for more information, and we'll walk you through it!
Get to Know Our Clubs
The American School in London's Ubuntu Club hosts a number of activities to create awareness about our work and issues related to our community in South Africa. Over the past few years, they have raised thousands of pounds through bake sales, workshops, 'Battle of the Bands' events, and other campaigns.
"Our club supports Ubuntu through a variety of fundraising efforts like bake sales, chain of hearts sales, and movie nights. We have also organized community outreach events and forums within the classroom to learn about important issues in South Africa. Leading the club has been a very enlightening and rewarding experience for me, and I would encourage every student to bring Ubuntu to their school!"
