A Letter from the Founders
Dear Friends,
Twenty years ago, we were two strangers from different worlds. We started Ubuntu Pathways in a broom closet of a township school using funds from a university raffle. Today, our team runs one of the most successful social change initiatives on the continent of Africa.
This year, we are not only celebrating our 20th anniversary, but the achievement of a 20-year dream. After a long struggle to overcome logistical and resource challenges, we have opened our own independent primary school. We are building a new state-of-the-art education complex, which will allow us to grow the Ubuntu School into a Grades R-12 academic institution.
Our campus continues to expand: construction of our new Job Skills Training Centre is complete, and we have opened a Small Business Simulator that trains and places youth into employment. Our cradle-to-career pathway is truly complete. This year, we launched the Ubuntu Advisory, a consultancy service that leverages the Ubuntu Model to help others achieve meaningful change.
