Creating an Inclusive Society Together
Ubuntu Pathways is a Section 18A NGO that provides comprehensive health, household stability, and education support to 2,000 orphaned and vulnerable children in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Over the past two decades, Ubuntu has professionalised the grassroots service delivery model, which has been recognised by global thought leaders like The World Economic Forum, the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and President William Clinton. Ubuntu Pathways is a South African organisation driven by a top-caliber team with requisite, strategic, and operational global development experience. We approach South Africa’s most urgent issues with head and heart. Our solution-oriented business model seeks to create a dynamic synergy between the country’s development and the investment world. We achieve this by assisting companies in evaluating their social responsibility initiatives against both revenue targets and social impact outcomes. Through this model we are able to provide our potential clients with three main solutions:
Ubuntu Investment Holdings provides equity ownership to corporate clients looking for a B-BBEE partner. We add tangible value to companies and ensure that our shareholding relationship creates a multiplier effect for the company and commensurately on the work we do with young people from cradle to career.
Ubuntu Consultancy provides business operation solutions to corporate South Africa. Our focus is to support clients throughout the B-BBEE compliance process, from aligning scorecards to achieving tangible impact with clearly defined returns on investment. We bring over two decades of experience in building HR capacity, staff development, performance management, and much more.
Ubuntu Pathways NPC has an all-encompassing development model, which caters to a wide range of programmatic priorities. With the ability to meet every child’s need—across health, education, job-training and household stability, from cradle to career—Ubuntu is uniquely positioned to address and meet every company’s CSI agenda.
“Ubuntu stands out as a true visionary in the sector. The organisation is run in a way that mirrors the most successful for-profit entities in the world.”
Ubuntu Pathways, NPC is a Section 18A NGO with Level 1 B-BBEE accreditation as certified by independent auditor Grant Thornton, with two wholly-owned subsidiaries, each benefiting from Ubuntu’s Level 1 B-BBEE status. This unique B-BBEE structure, encompassing three independent entities, will allow socially-minded corporate leaders with unparalleled opportunities to create lasting impact in their country.
